El Ajetreo Tequila FAQS

PRODUCT INFORMATION

El Ajetreo was born from a promise to carry on a legacy.

Our grandfather spent years crafting tequila at his ranch in the heart of Amatitan Jalisco. Although he never bottled it for the world to enjoy, his passion, dedication, and respect for the craft inspired us long after he was gone.

After his passing, we set out to honor his legacy by creating El Ajetreo Tequila a brand built on the values he lived by hard work, family, authenticity, and pride in every bottle.

Today, every bottle is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave and produced without additives, staying true to the traditions that inspired us from the beginning. El Ajetreo isn't just a tequila it's our way of preserving our grandfather's dream and sharing a piece of our family's story with every pour.

Yes. El Ajetreo is proudly family-owned and operated. Every bottle reflects our family's commitment to quality, authenticity, and honoring the legacy that inspired our journey.

El Ajetreo Tequila was founded by John and Donald Catudal in 2022.

Blanco Tequila, which can also be referred to as Plata or Silver tequila, is an agave spirit bottled directly after the distillation process. Blanco's are typically rested in stainless-steel tanks to allow for proper oxidization, but can also be rested in Oak or Holm Oak barrels for up to 4 Weeks. Blanco is considered to be a form of Tequila in its purest form which is clear in color containing the true flavors of the Agave plant in which it originated from.

Some prefer this purity because it is young, immature, and pure. The aging process creates distance from its original form in which it develops an identity of its own.

Blanco is bottled right after distillation, showcasing crisp, vibrant agave flavors — like El Ajetreo Blanco.

Reposado rests in French and American oak barrels for added smoothness, with notes of vanilla and spice.

Añejo ages even longer in oak, developing richer flavors of caramel, chocolate, and toasted wood.

Yes. El Ajetreo Tequila is crafted using only 100% Blue Weber agave, water, and yeast with no artificial sweeteners, caramel coloring, glycerin, or flavor enhancers. We believe exceptional tequila comes from quality agave, traditional craftsmanship, and patience not shortcuts.

The result is a clean, authentic agave-forward flavor in every sip.

There are four categories of additives in tequila: glycerin, oak extract, caramel coloring, and sugar-based syrup. Additives are permitted without disclosure as long as they account for under 1% of the total liquid.

El Ajetreo Tequila is additive-free because of our made-by-hand traditional process imparts rich, complex flavor to our products, without the need for artificial additives. The best flavor develops slowly and naturally, with no shortcuts and only high-quality raw ingredients. Agave, Water and Yeast.

A standard 1.5 oz pour has about approximately 97 calories, with no carbs, sugar, or fat. The calories come only from the alcohol, making it one of the “cleaner” spirits to enjoy neat or in cocktails.

National Tequila Day, also known as International Tequila Day, is celebrated on July 24 each year in honor of a spirit known for crafting delicious cocktails.
